Keep all the Project specific objects in Embedded Libraries.
Use only Archicad native Libraries.
Use office Libraries or Project specific Libraries stored on the server, avoid having objects in Embedded Library.

You can place the Site Mesh on any relevant Story.
Height Datum Reference Story – lowest Story in the Story Settings. This Story never changes elevation if you need to play with storey heights and all height of the Mesh will be related to Project Zero.
Create a new worksheet called Site Mesh and place the Mesh into the Worksheet.

What is the advantage of using the Grid elements as the site boundary?
In your Elevation and Section windows the Site Boundary will display automatically without you having to trace their location in each window.
You can create complex shape boundaries.
It allows you to use Grid elements to execute Solid Element Operations on site mesh.

How do you start a New File n Archicad?
Open the example office file, save as a template file and then use this template file to set up a New file.
Choose the template and set the Worn Environment to your office default. Never start a new project from an old file.
Delete all elements form an old file and save under New file name when clean.

How can you reduce the file size of a large project?
Delete all elements on Hidden Layers.
Split the file into Main file and Layout Book file.
Save every Story as a separate MOD file.

How do you bring DWG Survey file into your Project file?
Attach as an Xref file on the top most Story.
Open DWG file in separate Archicad file, explode and copy all required elements into the Project file.
reate a New Worksheet and then place DWG file on a Worksheet as an external drawing, never attach as an Xref. This avoids polluting your file with the Xref attributes like line types, fill types, etc.

When is beneficial to use Hotlink Modules (MOD) files?
When you deal with a lot of repetitive elements, mostly in Large projects.
Any project size will benefit from MOD files, it will keep the file organised.
When your office server is running on low speed.
